Our take
Qi2 at 25W is the reason to pick this over a cheaper magnetic mount, but read the qualifier: 25W applies to Qi2-certified phones. An older MagSafe iPhone will draw 15W and most Android handsets less again, so check your own device before paying for the headroom. The magnets hold a large phone through rough surfaces, and the joint rotates for portrait or landscape. Worth remembering that fast wireless charging generates heat, and a phone charging hard on a sunlit dashboard is the least kind thing you can do to its battery.
Best for: Qi2-certified phones on drives long enough to need charging
What works
- Qi2 25W on certified handsets
- Magnetic hold survives rough surfaces
- Rotates between portrait and landscape
What doesn't
- 25W only on Qi2 phones, older MagSafe caps at 15W
- Fast wireless charging runs hot on a sunny dash
- $67.49 is steep for a mount
