Our take

The cheapest inflator we list by a wide margin, and the best rated of the ones with real sample size behind them. A backlit screen sounds like a small thing until you are setting pressure on an unlit hard shoulder at night. It runs on a 12VDC battery platform with auto-shutoff, the same as the Airmoto. The trade is bulk: 2.73 lbs and nearly five inches deep, which makes this a boot tool rather than a glovebox one. If you wanted something for a bike saddlebag, this is not it.

Best for: Keeping permanently in the boot for routine top-ups

What works

  • $43.99, roughly 37% under the Airmoto
  • Backlit display for night roadside use
  • Auto-shutoff, no watching the gauge

What doesn't

  • Over twice the weight of the Airmoto
  • Nearly 5 in deep, boot storage only
  • 3,405 ratings is a smaller sample
